A century ago a doc would have drained you using leeches, and prescribed arsenic.
I suspect that in another century we will look back at our docs with the same ridicule.
There are few 'proper doctors' left - it is no longer a
vocation - it is a lucrative
occupation.
They look at the symptom you describe to them and prescribe a drug to overcome that
symptom. If it effects a '
cure' it is incidental and your luck is in.
The 'cure' can sometimes cause yet another 'symptom', and so it goes on until there are some people taking handfuls of drugs every day just to maintain the appearance of living = sad isn't it.
