How good would it be to get Newcastle in the Carling Cup 1st Round?

Play them at St. James Park w/c 10th August, media interest would be amazing real David vs. Goliath , the have's and the have not's

I suppose my purpose of this post was to hopefully help lighten the mood a little

But on a serious note a fixture like that could set the club up for the future, in terms of 50/50 on the gate receipts, sky coverage, merchandise

Plus putting the eyes of the footballing world on little ol Accy
