I think I am right in saying that Staffordshire Bull Terriers are a pure breed, and a long way from the 'pit bulls' you are referring to, I have never encountered a nasty staffie!
Same with Rotties, I bought two, and let someone else have one of them, mine was as gentle as a lamb, the other turned out a bit nasty, because they were raised differently. Mine was a pet, the other was used as a status symbol! I will keep my ears open Emzy, let you know if I here anything!
