So there I was trashing, erm I mean answering a thread, I had put some potato's on to heat.
Suddenly I realised time had passed and I had neglected my food, I went to the kitchen, (yes I have a map showing me directions), to be greeted by a black cloud.
Now, unlike some I am not a time served Chef, but even I realised that my tatties are a touch over done.
A cross between roast, crisp's & cinder with the knowledge that a saucepan needs replacing, not the way boiled spud's should end up.
I opened the back-door to allow some air in and was greeted by an ear piercing, shrill, 98 db wail as my smoke alarm went off.
O.K. it worked, but shouldn't it have done that earlier? When I first moved in it used to go off for a lightly toasted piece of bread!
Please don't tell me it needs cleaning my Landlord had it inspected and vacuumed less than a month ago.
I suspect the potato's, home grown & sometimes I can't make it upstairs so maybe it's the fertilizer?
