We are about to launch a brand new, community newspaper covering the Hyndburn area.

We aim to provide local news and affordable advertising. The newspaper will be a colour tabloid and it will be given away free in supermarkets, public buildings, pubs to name but a few.

The newspaper will be edited by me, Paul Vaughan, aged 27. I lived in Hyndburn until I was 17 when I moved to Blackburn. I now live less than half a mile outside the Hyndburn boundaries and I still have many friends in the area.

The Hyndburn Independent has already secured advertising deals with a number of organisations and now we need help from Accy Web visitors in finding local stories. We are particularly interested in local history items and local events.
