Re: would you ...

What can I say? My younger daughter - Brown Owl, hard-working proud mother of a fantastic 9 year old, PTA committee secretary and all-round pillar of the community - used to be a Punk-Goth.

When my husband died Nik had her own flat in Warrington. She was only 20, at college, but she wouldn't let me be alone at weekends so, every Friday evening, she used to come to my office to go home with me. She would sit in the Enquiry Centre and the girls in there looked forward to her coming as they never knew what colour her hair would be from week to week. She went through every colour from black through green, blue, purple, red, orange, pink to blonde. She also wore weird clothes, had a penchant for fishnet tights with large ripped holes in them and, on nights out, blue lipstick.

Well, yes, I used to cringe but I think it's just part of the maturing process. The kids in that video look tame compared to my kids, oh you should have seen my son 10 years earlier in the early 80s. Don't forget he's always played in a band.
