I would take it for a couple of days and see how it goes, my dad had a JRT and it was a lovely dog, very faithful and affectionate, I had no qualms about it being around when my daughter was little. Like others have said it's all down to how it has been raised, and btw Glasgow Guy Eric is doing just fine!
