The only recognition of their service and rememberance is on the War Graves Commission site but nothing in their hometown, which is disgrace.
My Grandmother had two sons and lost them both.
Accrington has a WW2 memorial facing the WWI, quite a lot of towns and villages did nothing about WW2, I have seen some with Korea and Falklands noted.
Below is all I can find for Blackburn re WW2. It was in a Blackburn Church now gone.
