The Taliban are a flagship for Islamic extremism. Removing the Taliban won't stop Islamic extremism.

I think the Afghans will be policing the urban areas soon and troops pulled back. It is a war we must win. With the Pakistani army to the south and the coalition to the North the Taliban are not free to support their extremist terrorist ideas.

The moment we pull out the Taliban will overrun the Pakistan army to the south. The stakes are high.
Don't agree with the analysis here .... the stakes may be high; but I don't think that we should be using our troops as chips in the game. We are talking men and women here ... men like Sapper Christian Bobbit and Sapper Mathieu Allard, 5e Regiment du genie de combat, kia last Saturday. Time to cut loose and leave them to it.
