We are paying to much for food, when you consider that some goods in Asda and Tesco are marked up 200%, and when you see Roll Back and 2 for one bargains you are paying nearer a proper price, but they don't last long enough for any real savings

Grow most of my own stuff too .... and I fish .... and for meat, I go out and shoot some poor creature minding its own business in its natural habitat

... well, not usually, ... I get my meat from the Pig and Olive, a real butcher, selling locally raised beef, pork, and lamb .... But I do think that it is worthwhile to preserve the family farm; it is not only a business, but a way of life ... one well worth preserving. However, I don't think the consumer, faced with higher prices will see it this way. The only answer I can see is govt. subsidies. It's either that or let big Agribusiness take over. And if you don't know what that will mean .....
