yes, their view is valid to them, and they have reasoned out their decision in their own minds.....lots of people will not make an informed choice, they will just follow the herd.
I am not panicked by someone elses opinion, because I can think rationally, and decide for myself......I think we should credit people with enough intelligence to do this, unless of course their actions prove that they are incapable of this.
