Well I belong to Hyndburn Mela committee so naturally we're putting on a Mela. However, if you or anyone else, wants to set up a group to put a music festival on then I'd be happy to help.
Just so we're clear about this - these aren't council run OR council funded events, the Mela is organised by a community group with outside funding. The council supports us by providing some ground staff to help set things up, lend us some chairs and of course, give us the park for the day - but I'm pretty sure they'd do that for any group who wanted to use the bandstand, whatever sort of event they wanted to put on.
