One of the reasons I remember it well, is because when we kids use to go to Rishton a lot.Quite a few of my of my family lived there. Always got of the bus at the Load of Mischief, and walked to Rishton.
For years I never knew what lay beyond the lights at Clayton,we never ventured that far.
Any idea where the name Load of Mischief comes from?
