I don't know why, but I have never liked the word 'supper'. Very silly, I know.
Another one is when someone says that someone has 'turned round' and said something. I always imagine people literally spinning round as they talk.
The third one is when people talk about themselves in the third person. You usually see this if someone is talking to a child.
They say 'Mummy has to go out' instead of 'I have to go out'
