It depends on what your perception of country & western is. If you've only been subjected to the dated stereotype of sequins and Dolly Parton wigs then no, I'm not the biggest fan going. However if you mean the
real stuff from the genre that has spawned some of the greatest songwriters and musicians in popular music history then I'd have to say I love a large portion of it. From Hank Williams to Johnny Cash to George Jones to Gram Parsons to Townes Van Zandt... you have to dig below the surface for the great stuff.
