I read in the "SUN" the other day that Rochdale Council has put up their Christmas lights as their are "seasonal celebrations for several faiths, Eid in September, Hindu festival Diwali in October, Jewish holiday of Hannukah in December and even the Wicca festival Yule celebrated by white whiches and pagans on the winter solstice."
"Yet the town's decorations are traditional Christmas symbols including a giant Noel sign, an image of Santa Claus - and even a penguin on skis."
Is Christmas coming earlier and earlier? The lights were put up 127 days before Christmas and the temperature was more than 30C
