Talking of pen pushers and general admin. staff, it is still a fact that the health system in the US is more wasteful than either the NHS or the various Provincially run systems in Canada. And it provides a level of health care slightly worse than that in Costa Rica, and a helluva lot worse than the NHS. This is a point well worth noting when considering changes to the NHS; or, at least, when considering which way the NHS should be improved.
