I got the information from my surgeon. And I've had the surgery. Didn't hurt a bit; slept right through it. Now I drink skim milk (or sometimes1%) or soy milk. Comes in several flavors, and doesn't taste all that bad. And now I read labels. Whenever I feel like pigging out on things I shouldn't eat, I remember (vaguely) those 4 days in the ICU, when all I got was slivers of ice, and whatever went through the tubes.
And for our friends south of the border: it was all free.
