Re: Q&A in Leyland with Asa Hartford and Tony Hateley
what a decent little night that was!
A good friendly pub with looked after beer and a little fitty behind the bar! There wasn't a great many people there, mainly locals and a handful from Accy. But nevertheless it was an enjoyable 'quick pint' listening to Tony and Asa and then a 60's style (think Heartbeat) band on afterwards. The raffle raised a touch over £150.
Mick was disappointed that more people didn't make the trip over but to be honest I never thought that Accy folk would make the trip and would view it as a fundraiser from that neck of the woods. However, Tony and Asa have said that they are willing to do it again in a few weeks time where hopefully we could get a few more over. For anyone driving it is approx 15 miles and 15 minutes. If enough people are interested though I'd consider running a minibus. It's probably an evening for the older football fan as there careers were over before many on here were born - but it is interesting listening to them talk candidly about the differences between modern and 'ancient' football.
Well done Waggon and Horses, Mick and Tony and Asa
