Lol! Wherever he laid his glass...that was Home!!! As well as Drinking in numerous hostelries he did also put a shift in BEHIND the bar now and then, Nags Head, St John's Tavern, Gt Eastern and Peel Park being amongst them Jaysay! I think he picked up more in "Free" drinks than he did in wages though! I once recall him being "rather merry" behind the Bar at the Peel Park, they had just taken delivery of a new ice machine, which was a bit of a novelty then, Johnny tried to operate it but all the ice spilt onto the floor, he trod on some, went flying and damn near knocked himself out!!....It was no easy task trying to get him vertical again!! Happy Days!!

We named the hill on the railway side on Accrington cricket club after Mr Walker. It's been known as the Johnny Walker hill ever since then.
