Re: Ilyas pulls out

Stanley Ultra. May I offer you some advice ? We are all (and i mean all, no matter what we might think of oneil, or me or anyone else), united by our love and passion for the club. On that basis, please would you consider NOT doing a public protest at the game ? The reason I would ask you to re-think is that the players ultimately align themselves with the crowd, and it is very easy for a gesture aimed at the management (such as yours might be), to be mis-interpreted. The ultras and all long standing fans deserve to have a say in the club. You deserve to have a say, but I would ask you to think about more dignified ways, and more appropriate ways to express your fear and your frustration. I do not think there are any fans more deserving of a happy future than Stanley, so I fully support and understand your position, but a protest at the game will not, in my humble opinion, be a good move.

I, of all people, have a problem with the way that oneil has continued to decieve and mislead people. But even I have stopped short of turning my anger towards the club itself. Nothing, ever, should be turned towards our players and fans. So, young man (if i may call you that), please shout loudly and cheer for our team. And then find other ways to express your issues with the directors. Post on here, write them a letter, go visit Rob Heys, or simply bang your head against a wall (i can show you some good brick walls in accy and ossy).

Again, please dont misunderstand my points. I love your passion, but a protest on the ground during a game is not right. Not for our club, not now and not ever.
