Do I need to carry on running around trying to fundraise? probably yes, as it means that either the directors will have to put in less money or we will have to borrow less money. I'm not happy about it for what has gone on and what will go on, but we live to fight another day and that is what is important.

Well if that is all you have it points to either,
1) The club have an arrangement to pay off only part of the tax bill (unlikely) or,
2) They are going to take us into administration.
