Re: taxman paid tuesday 27th October

I won't be eating any humble pie whatsoever I'm afraid.

Whether the bill is paid or not isn't quite irrelevant, but I would like to know at what cost?

Where has the additional money (£192,000 roughly) come from?
What levels of interest are payable?
To whom are the debts payable and have we got a black and white agreement that we have a timescale in which to repay?
How long is the club going to be in hoc for?
When does Mr Whalley get his £150k and be able to transfer ownership of the club to The Don?

We may have seen the wolf banished from the door, but has he just gone for reinforcements?

There was a post a few days ago from "sherry" that went largely unnoticed, however, it has got an element to it that rings true. Many of you will have put the rose-tinteds back on for a short while but that fact remains that this campaign has been run like a dogs-dick. So many failings, so many lies and untruths. What is left of the club as far as the community is concerned? How long will it take us to rebuild our shattered public image? Will the fans - let alone the wider 'floating' public evcer trust us again?

Only time will tell. I dont really want to come across as the voice of doom at what could be a positive time for us, but I personally dont think that this everything is as rosy as we might be led to believe.

If the £192k has been borrowed then you can lump that onto the £150k that we owe Whalley. So we owe £342k at this moment in time and that is before you add the £100k or so that we keep saying is just month to month stuff, and that is before you add on any current outstanding debts to the Inland Revenue.

Mr O'Neil will no doubt clarify things next week at the planned public forum on the 6th November.
