Said it before, I regularly frequent 2 very successful pubs, The Black Horse and The Peel Park, they are always busy and are clean, well run, welcoming and whilst not the cheapest in the business are worth that little bit extra because you have unripped seats and toilet doors that lock, landlords that come and clean tables after people have left, barstaff that know your name and know what you drink. Fairly basic stuff you may think but it's not that way everywhere, I was shocked at how rundown the Calder looked last week and there are certainly other places just as bad.
The pubs that are surviving are doing what they do very well and keeping their regulars happy.
Hence the ever packed quiz at the Peel and the busy lunchtime trade at the Black Horse.
