Although they have backed down I cannot understand why they would ban it in the first place.

For me the poppy is a sign of gratitude for all those immaterial of colour or creed that laid down their lives for others like me and you, in order that we may live a free and long existence without tyranny and fear from oppression.

What I dislike about this is that the person who made this decision is probably a decendant of someone that was saved by one of those that gave their life in the great war.

Wear your poppy with pride and support the British Legion
