could you tell us/me if the following is true about the strike because this also came from a postman.I was told that one of teh issues is that when a postman finishes his round early they are asked to help out elsewhere until their contracted hours are up but some seem to think they shoudl get extra pay for working in another department even though they are already getting paid for it as it is tehir contracted hours.When i have worked at companies and finished my job early i was often sent to another departnment until my shift finished or allowed to go home without pay for the time i didnt work
if teh above is true i have even less sympathy for them who are striking
actually when they get important hospital appointments put through the right door or not loose them i may actually get round to thinking they earn their money,its a poor do when i have to have my hospital records put to an address in a different town just to stand a better chance of getting appointments that are sent to me

well done for not striking , feeding your family and keeping a roof over your heads is more important than fighting somthing that has already happened and is unlikly to change
