The worrying thing is that the two antagonists here are probably voters. Democracy is supposed to mean the people have the power, and here are two examples who can't tell the difference between a war joined on political grounds and the people whose job it is to fight those wars.
I support British troops, I don't support the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. The wristband is only an indication of the former.
