Took my test in Burnley in '62 ... after being real critical of my driving skills, or lack of them, the examiner passed me

When I arrived in Saskatchewan, I just traded my Brit licence for a Saskatchewan one. Didn't have to take another test .... most places in Sask. you can drive for ages without seeing another car.

But I did have to take a test for my motorcycle endorsement. Took the test in May, along with four or five other hopefuls ... just before the test began, a spring blizzard blew in. The examiner, who was the local RCMP officer, passed everyone, jumped in his cruiser, and took off. Visibility was close to zero, and we all wanted out of there real quick.

Lots of room on the roads over here ... most people drive fast. And only wimps slow down in a snow storm.
