The highs and lows of Jonathan Ross
June 2006 Ross signed a new, £18million contract tying him to the BBC until 2010, making him Britain’s highest-paid presenter. In the same month, he was criticised for a controversial interview on his Saturday Night show. He fired a line of questioning at David Cameron, that culminated in him asking: “Did you or did you not have a w*** thinking of Margaret Thatcher?” Repeat showings of the interview were banned.
