I thought his family's statement, read outside the court, was very good.
They wished the 'victim' well, and said they were happy his 'brain damage' hadn't prevented his on going criminal career from flourishing.
How they kept a straight face, was probably down to the fact that it's sadly not very funny, that this man now seems to have offical immunity to carry out violent crimes.
