It was Cllr. Britcliffe, who according to the press, decided to bring the matter to the attention of everyone, by raising the matter at a public meeting.
Though I agree, any actual details of the alleged crime seem fairly scant on the ground, and certainly no concrete evidence was presented to the press, when they interviewed Cllr. Britcliffe, to back any of the up the claim.
If there'd been some crime committed, one would rather have hoped the police would have been called, and they'd have investigated the matter.
