I cant agree with you on that one. Holding a phone to your ear while trying to indicate and make a turn at a junction is not easy.
Yes I can inderstand your thoughts on the conversation but using the handsfree is just like talking to a passenger. Holding a phone is not.
Beside which I am usually drinking a brew and eating a bacon butty while driving to work on mid shifts which is when people tend to phone me.
Trying to hold a phone to my ear as well would leave me steering with my knee
