Since at least two candidates...so far, are members here, I'd have thought it was an ideal arena to engage with the public, and quell what seems to be great apathy.

Since the local press is now more or less ineffectual, Accy Web is a medium crying out to be used.
Even people who are on differing political sides to Graham Jones have said he's earned their grudging respect, by posting on here, and being just the same as every other member.
