The report says the aid got diverted - this happens all the time and what generally happens is that warlords grab all the aid (in the form of food, etc) for their armies. Saves spending the money on weapons. Better still, if they have stolen enough of the food they can sell it to buy more weapons.

Whilst I don't allways agree with the BBC's left wing/kumbuya political slant ( the folks who produced the original report) , I think its fair to say that any news report they do is factualy accurate. If the original report had first appeared on Sky/Fox news (Murdoch owned) I would have been more suspicious of political shenanigans
