I have flown Ryanair a number of times between UK & France - cheap, additional costs at your choosing, and on a 1 hour, or so, flight, do you really need a drink, or food, but they get you there with minimum delay - you get what you pay for.
Of course the "Big Boys" don't like them, look at the revenue they are being deprived of. I have flown on over 20 different airlines, from all continents except Australasia/Antartica - the worst, British Airways - the best, Emirates, but Ryanair are nearer the top than the bottom of my list.
However back to the thread - the Government Website says it is good for travel between UK and all EU countries + Switzerland. The thread was posted in an attempt to ascertain the facts in order that a Lady member of Accyweb does not have to pay an unneccessary £60 or so, for a passport.
