I am sorry if this has caused you any upset Shaz & Rindy (it was not intended), but I can understand your feelings. I myself was just 20 when my Mum died, I was in Ireland at the time (1985), but I was flown home to be with the family.

She died in early February but I was lucky enough to see her in early January, so my memories of her live & vibrant were fresh in my mind when the news came.

Time has healed the resentment & bitterness, but regrets in this instance can't be altered, I regret her not seeing me married off despite her telling me no one would be daft enough to have me

I regret her not seeing her Daughter in law (the one daft enough to have me) a Grandson & Great grand Daughter, all things that have transpired since her departing. But as you say we've lived & life on occasion does bring some regret.
