back in the 80s there wasnt the same media representation as there is today ... back in the 80s all you knew was what was told on the radio, the news and in newspapers .. now 25/30 years later we have the internet and access to more newspapers .. but will say this .. i was 16 in 1983 ...and even i knew what state the country was in .. so you must have led a sheltered life through the 80s then ..
