Personally I think he should have been tried on his return from Afghanistan and a ban put in place then.
Yes I can understand that they need him driving for his job but to be honest I think what he has done is wrong and someone could have seriously been injured or even worse. If he,d have been tried once home from tour then he would have paid the price for his actions
In any circumstance if you feel you are being tailgated is no reason to speed up no matter who,s behind you. why not let them pass.
Soldier or no soldier the law is the law.
