I would certainly contact your doctor shaz, and if your breathing gets worse don't mess about ring three nines. When I start with a cold it usually ends up in a chest infection, but as part of my ongoing treatment I always carry a stand by dose of wide spec antibiotics, and I increase my steroids. Its also advisable to keep a check on your temperature, which could indicate an infection
