I wondered how long it would be before the 'Pickwick' made it's ghastly appearance. If my memory serves me right, it was converted from the dining room of the old Odeon. Upstairs was the place where you could get the finest English '70's cuisine - Prawn Cocktail, followed by Chicken in the Basket (with serviette to cover the basket holes), finished off by Black Forest Cake. All washed down by a vintage bottle of Hirondelle '72. Downstairs was the Appertife - 6 pints of Watney's Red Barrel resulting in a double enema before one made one's way above into gastronomic paradise.
