We went in the Redcap a few times when we were over last month, a good meal every time. The Gamecock was a disappointment - a couldn't care less attitude from the staff. The Three Fishes at Mytton was very good but not really a carvery. Oaklea was also good as were BaltiStan and the Indian in Warner St.
Must also give mention to the cafe in the Arcade, really wonderful toasted currant teacake bacon sandwiches.
The Redcap and the Gamecock have both improved since you went back Barrie. They were using proccessed meats while you were over and although it was edibile it can't compare to Turkey on the bone and real Roast Beef. Balti Stan and Mitali were both brill but as for your currant teacake and bacon sarnie (yuck is my opinion)
