It looks like the ConLibs have come up with some pretty radical ideas on NHS reform, the main one being the transfer of the purse strings to your local GP. While I am certainly no respecter of some of the existing NHS bureacracy and all it's inherent waste I wonder if this proposal will only serve to create yet another layer of pen pushers and bean counters while at the same time creating yet more non-core clinical work for GP's.

Some of you lot on here have more than a passing interest on this one so lets see what you think.
