As we arrived at the soiree Wyn...'HE' had crept outside for one of his appointments with the dreaded weed !...and therefore he was the first VIP to welcome us to the gathering !!....His first words were not related to Stanley's outing to Gawthorpe, (that came later)...but rather 'What do you think ?...when I went in there was no (Expletive deleted) Tickets for me and Mr.B !.'.
As this was said in his usual amenable fashion, I comisserated with him, suggesting that this occurrence was probably par for the course, he came back with...
'But they made me one up !'...To which Alfred.E. replied
'I bet it'd not the only thng they've made up !'.
Finding him approaching this emergency with such equanimity made me wonder if he had fallen under the spell of the official looking young lady who was doling out the Season Tickets...or perhaps the Chairman/Owner (?) himself who was presiding over the proceedings....
Perhaps not !!..
BUT....'HE' has, you will be pleased to hear received his
passport to Soccer Paradise...God's in his heaven..and the world of Accrington Stanley is alright (?????????).
