Re: Telegraph

its a technicality, but the accounts needed to be signed off by a director, and that signing given its importance, could only be done with board awareness (normally a board meeting). in this case all members of the board were involved, but i was particularly involved in a detailed discussion and review with the independent auditors. As you are aware Pierce work for the company, not for the directors, and their purview was the focus of my calls. David O Neil signed the accounts once we had agreed the verbiage, but I think my previous bulletin board comments also noted that the 09/10 accounts will be the key statement.

Just one other point about the telegraph piece - I really dont know if Mr Oneil actually said that, or whether he was quoted out of context. I have not been in Accy since mid JUly, and the board meeting that was scheduled for that time was cancelled due to the untimely death of my aunt (the lady who lived in Stanhill Hall). IT would therefore be correct that I have not actually been at the ground since mid July (i went up to buy a top but did not run into Mr Oneil or Rob), and that is perhaps what was meant by the comment. Either way, its not just a mere detail and hence my desire to correct the impression.
