Oliver Bulleid

One of the finest railway engineers the world has known, and... guess what... he went to Accrington Grammar School. He lived with a relative, William Sanderson, in Oswaldtwistle. He was the 6th pupil to be enrolled when the Grammar School (then known as The Accrington Technical School) opened in 1899. He died in 1970
