sorry jaysay i disagree ... when i was learning to drive my driving instructor when she thought i was doing ok .. took me out at night for a driving lesson ... this was to get me used to driving at night .. If this came into being they werent allowed to drive at night ... how will they get used to driving at night .. especially when its been raining or snowing .. I think they should make it that 17 and 18 year olds should have at least a year of lessons before they do their test and that they have at least 10 lessons at night ... i know of someone who had been driving cars and tractors for about 4 years on a farm .. who booked his test for 2 days after his 17th birthday and passed!!! but driving on a farm is totally different from driving on the roads .. and an idea being they drive with R plates (restricted) on their cars for a year after passing their test that meaning they cant drive faster than 50mph and no motorways .. that way they will get used to road traffic ... not banning them at night because if they have work .. and travelling home at 6pm in January ... means theyre driving in the dark ..
