Re: Ban New Divers from road at night
The trouble is that everybody is different. I would have loved to find the driving test examiner who passed my elder son and asked what they thought they were doing. He had four accidents in his first two years, none of them serious, but thought he owned the road. I've got to say his attitude now is very different. My younger son never had any problems like that and a ban on driving at night would have seriously affected him as much of his work was done in the evenings and he needed a car for transport.
I think we should insist on a minimum number of supervised hours of driving must be logged and completed before they can take their test. We need to find a way of making sure that drivers are safe before they pass their test, not worry about it afterwards.
