I was puzzled too - it does have a long neck, so is more gooselike.
Needing an excuse not to get the hoover out, I websearched for duck and goose photos.
I am still confused, because some ducks have longer necks than others, and they even interbreed to make 'Gucks'
I think the only way to tell is by the noise they make - geese don't quack
they honk
