I too thought that the coverage was over excessive, great they are all out, but was it really necessary to have 22 hours live coverage of an event that has no real bearing on our own lives ? Or was this a collective escapism from our own pressing concerns & problems (in the UK & Europe), a feel good uplift for the populace ?
Who took note of more Labour MP's being pulled up for expenses ? The death of 6 NATO troops in Afghanistan ? Foreign GP's who can't speak English ? More people to face tax demands from HMRC due to HMRC screwing up ...again !
But of course the Chileans are fine & they'll be doing alright out of it, films, interviews, documentaries, well 32 of them at least ! I think there's one who probably wished he'd stayed down the mine.
Just a tad O.T.T. but that, as they say, is only my opinion.
