I'm confused about this. I wasn't at the game but the BBC reported it as a red for violent conduct. From how people have described it seems to me like serious foul play ( profesional foul ) . The former carries a 3 game ban the latter a 2 game ban. Not sure if his sending off in Burnley reserve games count as an extra match.
TBH I'm suprised he was thrown in at the deep end, especially against somebody like Le Fondre
